It’s a free, family-friendly event celebrating nature and the super-important role trees play in our lives.
Tree Fest is way more than just a party; it’s a powerful community day that connects folks of all ages to the benefits of a greener, healthier Knoxville. It brings together residents, schools, volunteers, and partners to help grow Knoxville’s tree canopy, spread environmental awareness, and build neighborhood pride.

What is Tree Fest?
Join Knoxville’s annual Tree Fest, a family-friendly event with a free tree adoption, education, live music, and community engagement. Learn, plant, celebrate, and help grow a greener city.
We’ve got something fun for everyone:
- Youth education and activities
- Abopt a free tree to take to its forever home!
- Check out cool educational booths and interactive stuff.
- Enjoy games and eco-friendly crafts.
- Shop local vendors.

Tree Adoption Information
Adopt a tree at Tree Fest! In 2026, over 200 trees from 18 different varieties will be available for adoption. Each adoption comes with a free tree and resources to help you plant and care for it, ensuring your new tree thrives in your yard or community.
