Maynard Glenn Baseball Field Community Tree Planting & Free Tree Adoption

Join Trees Knoxville for an afternoon of community, learning, and family-friendly fun at Maynard Glenn Baseball Field in South Knoxville.

Volunteers will help plant trees in the park to expand neighborhood shade and strengthen Knoxville’s urban canopy. After the planting, community members are invited to participate in a Free Tree Adoption, where you can take home a tree to plant at your own home or property.

No experience is needed. Trees Knoxville staff and certified arborists will provide tools, guidance, and planting demonstrations so everyone can learn how to properly plant and care for trees.

Event Schedule
Tree Planting: 2:00–4:00 PM
Free Tree Adoption: 4:00–5:30 PM
