Join us on Saturday, October 24, starting at 10:00 AM at The Hive Bookshop (5201 Kingston Pike #1) for a full day celebrating two of our favorite things: great books and green canopies!
We’re kicking off the morning with a No-Cost Tree Adoption featuring native species: Pawpaw, Red Maple, Serviceberry, Scarlet Oak, and Sweetbay Magnolia. Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. While trees are free, a suggested $30 donation per tree is greatly appreciated to help fund our mission to plant and protect Knoxville’s canopy!
Saturday Schedule:
10:00 AM: Tree Adoption opens (first-come, first-served!)
10:30 AM: Special Storytime reading of The Lorax for young tree lovers!
3:00 PM: Author Event with Jim Cortese, reading excerpts from his book, John Muir Climbs a Tree and Other Tall Tales.
Come adopt a tree, enjoy storytime with the family, and pick up your next favorite book!
