Trees Knoxville’s mission is to preserve and expand the urban tree canopy in Knoxville and Knox County on both private and public land. We accomplish our mission through tree plantings, outreach, and engagement events, such as Tree Walks, and our Volunteer Forester program.
Every board member of Trees Knoxville is expected to volunteer or attend at least three events per year, engage in fundraising and outreach efforts, such as sharing opportunities to donate to, and volunteer with Trees Knoxville, and contribute their skills and expertise to Trees Knoxville where needed.
Board members are expected to attend 2/3rds of the board meetings, which take place the third Wednesday of the month at noon at the Trees Knoxville office (417 Holly St. Suite 101).
