We do our tree work at schools, churches, parks, greenways, neighborhood streetscapes, and bus stops! No experience is required—our staff and trained volunteers provide guidance, tools, and support, making it easy and rewarding to get involved.

For those looking to deepen their involvement, Trees Knoxville offers structured pathways for leadership and long-term engagement:

• Volunteer Forester Program: Receive training in urban forestry and serve as a leader at tree planting and care events while acting as a knowledgeable resource in the community.
• Tree Ambassador Program: These liaisons serve as leaders in our Volunteer Canopy Program. Work at the neighborhood level to connect residents with trees, resources, and urban forestry knowledge, helping to expand the urban canopy block by block.
