SUMMARY:Winter Tree ID Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Trees Knoxville and Ijams Nature Center for a hands-on Winter Tree Identification Workshop. We will begin with a brief indoor lecture\, followed by a guided tree walk through the winter woods. \nParticipants will learn how to recognize trees by bark\, buds\, branching patterns\, and other subtle clues that appear when leaves are gone. This workshop is a great way to sharpen your observation skills and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature in winter. \nMeet at the Ijams Visitor Center. \nAll ages welcome. Dress for the weather and enjoy a morning of learning outdoors.

DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a fun and festive holiday event for all ages. Walk through downtown Knoxville with Knoxville’s Urban Forester\, Kasey Krouse\, as we visit 12 unique trees decorated for the season. At each stop\, participants will answer a trivia question and fill in their event form. The top three participants with the highest score will win gift cards. \nThis event is a great way to learn about Knoxville’s urban forest\, enjoy the holiday atmosphere\, and explore Market Square with friends and family. We will meet at the Christmas tree in Market Square to begin our tour. \nWe hope to see you there for a cheerful evening of trees\, trivia\, and Christmas spirit.
